時間之間 | In the Midst of Time

以黑白照片展現澳門歷史為主題,我建構的空間,就好像一個沖印照片所用的暗房;
當觀眾置身其中,以手中所掌控的光源為引,隨著光源所指,過往景象慢慢顯現,這既是一個尋找的過程,
又是一個歷史慢慢的“顯影”過程,隨著光線的移走,影像漸漸隱去,彷若記憶終將歸於歷史的長河之中。

此次的黑白照片中以“景”為主,而“景”的存在皆由於人的選擇和介入而更為豐滿,
而作為主體的人是整個歷史的構建者,所以, 此件作品的觀眾,即作品中的“人”又顯得特別的重要,
我選擇了以互動的方式去呈現這件作品,強調觀者的參與性。

隨著不同的人的操作,每一個人所造就的軌跡各不相同,
彷若個體生命建構了整個的歷史,而圍觀的觀眾,又以一種見證者的身份參與其中。

The images are black and white photographs showing history of Macao, while the installation is in an isolated space.
Spectators could move the cited light source, where the light stops, an image would slowly emerge,
this is a process of searching, as well as a “developing” process of images just as what one could experience in a darkroom printing photos;
as the light moves on to other positions, the image will fade out, like one’s  memory which eventually attributed to the long river of history.

The black and white photographs portraying landscapes of the city in the past decades,
the existence of the “Sceneries” which are due to man’s choices and interventions, as a result we got a more plentiful reality as well as history.
This is an interactive work, emphasizing the participation of the viewer.
As man is the builder of the entire history body, the viewer plays an important part in this work.

In operation on the light source by different viewers, making unique tracks of lit up imagery,
just like the construction of individuals’ lives or of the entire history.
Spectators other than the one controlling the light, are involved as witnesses.
