A room about 20
square meters was moved into the exhibition hall. It included television,
table, sofa, refrigerator, bed, and other simple furniture, DVD, books,
lipstick, perfume, honey and other supplies, paint, electric saw, electric drill,
scissors and other tools. The key which could be got by the audience during the
exhibition was hanged at the entrance. They could do anything inside the room,
including rest or change the room. There was no supervisory equipment inside
the room.
From 7 of Sep,2008
to 12 of Oct,2008, took a picture to record the changes inside the room.
When the audience
took the key to enter a room where they had never been to, saw and felt the
breath and traces left by the previous person, they had a feeling of breaking
into other people’s inner feel. The room carried the most intimate writing in
the live. People could change the existence, but also could leave new traces.
Since all “marks” would be “hidden”, the “world” we were living was like a big
“book “, all the “writings” are overlapping together. What written after would
“cross out” or “delete “the previous, - masked up.
From the moment
they entered the space, the “present” was not simply “present”, it was the
“past” and the“future”. the “past” and the“future” nominated the “present”,
however, the “present” was creating the“past” and the“future” ——the “present”
was not only creating the“future” but also the “past” because the “present”
looked like the “past”. The“past” and the“future” not only “hid” the “present”,
but also presented the “present”.
